The Digital Wallet Cashless Journey

Based on members requests and feedback to the Captains the committee is making moves to adopt a cashless system for initially paying competition entry fees digitally. There has been a great deal of work setting this up and understanding the processes necessary to make it happen. The plan is for the 2nd Foxtrotters competition in July to be cashless, that should provide a good test and understanding of the process and the financial understanding so that the comp is accurately recorded in the accounts.
In preparation for cashless, it would be helpful if you could ensure you have both the HowDidIDo and Club V1 Hub apps installed on your mobiles. Both of these can also be accessed from a PC using the links below. If you get stuck there is no need to panic it is only the 2nd Foxtrotter comp in July that is going to be cashless, the Mens and Ladies comps will follow and emails will be sent out in preparation.
However, if you are felling confident and want to try and load your competition balance ready for when cashless arrives for comps you enter then there is a link below that explains.
Further updates will follow, at this stage this news is intended to let you know how its going.

CAPTAIN'S SPRING NEWSLETTER

This is the second, joint newsletter from your Captains with news about what is happening at the Club at the moment.

The weather is finally starting to work in our favour. There is some run on the fairways and not too much mud on our trolleys!

After a very difficult winter for everyone, we are pleased to see many more players from all sections on the course. We have competitions starting including Bullet Makser, friendlies against other clubs and the regular Stablefords and Medals. The Winter knockouts are drawing to a close with finals taking place at the moment – all winners will be on the new website. The Summer knockouts will be drawn soon, entries close on Sunday 16th so there is still time to put your name forward. £5 per person per competition, named envelopes into the Treasurer’s box in the Pro Shop.

We will be having different charity opportunities this year for Great Ormond Street Hospital and The Kent Autistic Trust. We are trying to get all the holes sponsored at an event per section. See the attached flyer. We need help from everyone please.

The new website is proving popular – egcmembers.co.uk – and thanks to everyone who has put so much time into this. If there is anything you would like to see there on a regular basis, please let your Captain know.

Best wishes and happy golfing!!

Mike, Caroline and Andy
